We offer classes in a variety for all ages from Pre School to seniors in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop.

At Auckland Academy of Dance we provide classical ballet training following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus - For more information about the RAD check them out on the web at www.rad.org.nz

Contemporary Dance training follows the New Zealand Academy of Modern Dance (NZAMD) syllabus - For further information about NZAMD check them out on the web at www.nzamd.co.nz

Classical Ballet Classes

Pre school Dance from 3 years, Graded Ballet Classes and Vocational  Ballet to Advanced II.

Examinations are offered in Classical Ballet from Pre Primary to Advanced II following the RAD Syllabus.

Open Ballet Classes for Vocational Students.

Private one to one tuition for competition and syllabus work.

Contemporary Classes

Beginners to Level 6 - NZAMD syllabus

Examinations are offered for each level and encouraged but not compulsory.

Contemporary classes are offered to students from Grade 5 Ballet and above and those students who have 5 years training in another dance genre.

All Vocational Ballet students are encouraged to take contemporary classes to broaden their dance experience.

The Auckland Academy of Dances studios aim to provide a stimulating environment and friendly atmosphere that fosters the pure enjoyment of dance.

With the experience and expertise of the teaching faculty, students are taught in a friendly, supportive manner with an emphasis on dancing for fun. Former students have been accepted into leading dance schools and companies throughout the world, and others have become qualified teachers of dance.

Jazz and Hip Hop Syllabus

Jazz classes are offered from preschool to young adult levels. Hip Hop is offered for children from 6yrs of age. Both Jazz and Hip Hop follow the Jazz Dance New Zealand (JDNZ) syllabus.

Beginners (5 years) to Solo Seal, including all styles of Modern Jazz, Broadway, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop.

Private one on one tuition is offered for competition and syllabus work. Examinations are offered in Jazz dance from Beginners to Solo Seal.

Auckland Academy of Dance offers all students the opportunity to perform as part of our end of year concert.
